In the Forest of Myth
Rather a pretentious name for a pendant that fits in the palm of my hand, but that's what I was thinking about while beading it: the cabochon made me think of deep green forest pools surrounded by trees, the twisted iris bugles became tree trunks and branches, the "foliage" was done in a combination of backstitch (distant leaves) and small loop and looped spike stitches (leaves in your face) and the forest seemed to call for mysterious signs and symbols, strange faces and magical birds.
