Crazy Lace Cascade
As you can probably see in the picture, the original slice of crazy lace agate that I used here had regular bands of color on one side, breaking up into a riot of pale salmon and ivory frills on the other. I wanted to mimic that structure in the beading; the regular bands part was obvious,and for the lacy cascade effect I used a multi-looped fringe - a stitch from my forthcoming book Spikes, Loops, and Fringes. I love the frothy effect and plan to get a lot more use out of this stitch on various projects.
