Gate of Opal
A small piece inspired by the branching, blue-purple glittering veins in a piece of boulder opal. That's the center arch; the rest of the piece sort of grew around it as it demanded a second tree in reversed colors, then a third one in beadwork over Angelina to balance the images.
In this detail picture you can see the beaded dangles on the Angelina tree, and just a corner of the beadwork edging to the blue section, worked in Cretan stitch with blue beads and holographic blue sequins.
