Mesa Verde Memories
An experiment in integrating ink-jet printed images with other fabrics - some hand dyed, some commercial - using snapshots taken at Mesa Verde.
The green stuff coming up from the bottom in tall triangular shapes is hand-dyed cheesecloth, intended to evoke the tall conifers that grow wherever there's a patch of soil among the cliffs.
The petroglyph stamps were made just for this piece, out of foam weatherstripping and scraps of Foamcore; somewhat to my surprise, the stamps have withstood repeated usage for almost two years now. I wouldn't recommend using Foamcore as a base for something you wanted to keep and use regularly and that had to be washed, though.
